They got to the statue”s step when suddenly a deep voice came from the statue ,"There is no way to get out of the room ,unless one of you die ." "That”s crazy ,why ?" Pete shoutet at it ,but the statue didn”t say any more ."Oh Pete !look there , an exit ,just above your head ." Tom shouted ,but it”s too hight to get to !" At the same time,the water ,which was told like ice was above their knees ,Pete and Tom looked into each other”s face with a look of fright .
"Oh god ,please save me ,I miss my momy " Tom started crying ,Pete looker at Tom silently and said ,"Tom did as what he said,but ……" Pete ,I can”t do it, my arms are not long enough ," Tom cyied again ." Don”t give up . Tom ,believe yourself ,come on ! "Pete encoutaged.
Finally ,Tom made it up but the waters was above Pete”s neck，which means there is no time to ask for help Tom bended over the top of the room ."Pete ,seize my hand ,I”ll pull you up !" Tom shoutde at Pete ."There is no time ,don”t care me .go ! go ! Pete shouted ,"Now ,I tell you the question ,it says will you q=give up your life for your best friend ,of couise ,my answer is : yes，I will ,Tom ,please treasure your friend well ,goodbye !"Pete was swalleved with his smiling ,Tom looked at Pete silently with tolling down his face ……
